A young mother and her baby have suffered severe burns in a house fire in Sydney's south-west.
The eight-month old baby along with a 20-year old woman were severely burned in a blaze that broke out in a granny flat at a property in Chester Hill.
The fire started just before 1.45pm in the kitchen of the Miles Street property.
A spokesperson for Fire and Rescue NSW told Daily Mail Australia the blaze occurred at a granny flat located at the back of the property.

Fire and Rescue NSW said upon arrival they witnessed a 'large volume' of smoke issuing from the rear of the home.
The fire has since been extinguished with Fire and Rescue NSW investigators on scene investigating the cause of the blaze.
Paramedics treated the mother and the young baby on scene before both were transported to hospital.
The baby was taken to Westmead Children's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The child's mother was rushed to Concord Hospital's burn unit in a serious but stable condition suffering severe burns to her face, back, arms and legs.
NSW Ambulance inspector Caine Sanders said they were met with a 'particularly delicate situation' when they arrived due to the age of the baby.
'Any incident involving fire carries a large amount of risk and it was crucial we began treatment as soon as possible,' he said.
'This was a particularly delicate situation because there was a young child involved.
'This has no doubt been a traumatic incident and we send our best wishes to the family for their recovery.'
